The Realities Of Cheating In Online Classes & Exams
The Realities Of Cheating In Online Classes & Exams If the assignment isnât going to affect your grade â" the difference between an F and a skip is virtually irrelevant. I graduated college early taking a double course load while working 30 hour weeks. The resistance to starting is what prevents a lot of us from getting things done well in advance â" we wait until we have barely any time left. At that point, the panic pushes us past that resistance â" but it also stresses us out and causes us to do work thatâs not up to our full potential. The single reason you go to school is to learn and prepare for your future; whether you will someday have a career, manage a home, or both, you will need to take responsibility. I think that itâs absolutely necessary to do homework if it prepares for a big test coming up, but otherwise it might be okay to skip it, or come back to it when studying. It does come down to a teacher by teacher situation. Habit-tracking apps can be great, but they don't work for everyone. Here's an alternative, paper-based system for tracking your goals and habits. To combat this and to consistently perform well in school you need to have a good task management system, in addition to honing the habit of working on small chunks every day. Many teachers make homework a tiny percentage of your final grade while still giving homework every single night. In those situations, donât worry about doing your homework for your gradeâs sake. If homework is a small percentage of your final grade then it matters significantly less if you actually do the homework or not. Teachers list the factors that will account for your final grade on most class syllabuses. It may be better to hand in low priority work late than on time and rushed. If homework is a large percentage of your final grade then it matters more if you do your homework. This is the time to learn about dentist appointments, birthday dinners, your brotherâs baseball games, etc. It is always better to know about these things ahead of time, rather than at the last minute. For example, a teacher might list homework as 20% of your grade and tests as 80%. Once this aspect of homework sinks in,you might notice that teachers that give you lots of homework get less and less irritating. They may add busy work to your day but throwing away a fraction of a percent on your final grade to skip it, might be worth it. There are better things to worry about than schoolwork. This is how you maximize your results while still enjoing life. This might sound a little odd but itâs true. Donât tell people youâre not doing something because itâs worthless. If the teacher seems sensitive about it then â" instead of skipping it, just symbolically complete it but donât worry about answering anything correct. â" And I didnât do it because Iâm particularly smart. When a teacher allows late work, rushing work is a mistake. Even if you lose a couple points for it, you can make up for it with quality.
